July 2020 Newsletter

Welcome to the July edition of our monthly Newsletter.

It’s hard to believe that we’re already halfway through the year. 2020 has certainly held its fair share of surprises and turns, but one thing is certain: God’s love. With your support, our virtual Baby Bottle Campaign has raised $2,880. We are still a long way from the $40k goal, so please be sure to check out the campaign and share it with your friends.

The Rockville Women’s Center (RWC) began serving our community in July 1987 – 33 years. As you may know, RWC was incorporated as the Rockville Pregnancy Center in 1986. Now in its 4th decade, RWC’s mission is to reach and empower abortion-vulnerable women and serve families in the Washington metropolitan region. RWC is here for the long haul.

Addison was a scared 16-year-old high school student who chose to come to the Rockville Women’s Center (RWC) after walking out of an abortion clinic for the second time. Her mom brought her to the appointment. Addison came to her initial consultation feeling pressured by the 15-year old father of the baby who felt that he was too young to have a baby.

Did you know that many companies match donations made by their employees to charitable organizations? Please contact the Human Resources Department of your company to find out if your employer has a matching gift program. If your employer does, request a matching gift form, and send it (to RWC) completed and signed. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift to RWC may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses also.
