All year long we have events for friends of Rockville Women’s Center to gather and give their support. Each occasion goes towards helping Moms, Dads and Families into abundant life as we offer information and support in a professional, medical setting. Your participation can change lives forever!

Documentary & Discussion at RWC on Saturday, August 6th, 2022, 5pm – 7pm for the documentary “The Matter of Life” by Revelation Media and a following discussion.

Our Pop-Up Markets happened twice this year, each one offering juried, handmade and resourced items, along with quality donations. They only last a few weeks and showcase talents of generous RWC donors. Fall 2021 was a great opportunity to shop for that unique gift item. Click here for more info.

Multiple language speakers are a plus!
Advocate (Female or Male)/ 2-4 hours weekly:
- Meet one-on-one about her potential pregnancy, help them navigate next steps. Men meet with men, women meet with women.
Mentor (Female or Male)/1 hour, twice monthly:
- Encourage, advise, and help women and men learn about pregnancy stages, parenting, and life skills.
Helpliner/4 hours weekly, from your home:
- Caring and compassionate listener to answer calls, schedule appointments, share information with women and men facing an unexpected pregnancy.
Sonographer/4 hours weekly:
- Provide limited obstetric ultrasound scans to confirm the pregnancy, discuss pregnancy plans and concerns.
- RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) required.
Nurse/4 hours weekly:
- Record Client health history, provide information, complete Verification of Pregnancy paperwork, discussion of pregnancy plans and concerns, provide resources/referrals.
- Current license required.
Reception (Female or Male)/4 hours weekly:
- Create a welcoming environment, assist with paperwork, answer phones.
Special Events/As scheduled:
- Help plan and lead fundraising and community events or help the day of the event.
Special Skills:
- Do you have a gift in writing? Photography? Enjoy creating content for social media? Love making videos? You can help with our enewsletter, blog, social media platforms, or help create video content.
- A sample of current work is required.

Give a Gift Card
Families welcome gift cards from any of the following stores – Giant, Safeway, Walmart, Aldi, and Target. We ask that they be $25 in value and dropped off or mailed into the Center. As we have limited space to carry all of the varied needs for a new baby, gift cards help a new Mom or Dad purchase what is needed to keep the baby healthy!
Donate Baby Items
Our Parenting/Mentoring Program provides mothers with new or gently used baby items for newborns through 2 years old. While we welcome donations, we also have limited storage space. We ask that you please make an appointment to arrange a drop-off time. Also, contact us before organizing an in-kind donation drive to confirm a list of items for the collection. All donors can get a donation receipt if they provide their information. In-kind donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law.
